Chain tension
Chain tensioning is important to prevent chain slip and wear. A properly tensed chain should barely move when you press on it. Since we don't have a proper mechanism for tensioning the chain we need to improvise. I used the following technique:
- Reduce the chain length as much as possible, by removing chain links with ATV chain tool:
- Add rubber between the motor and the frame to tense the chain as much as possible.
